[The Internet] increases enormously the number, intricacy and complexity of interactions made possible between individuals, organizations, facts, activities and fields of knowledge. [The] Internet is an organized medium for bringing all existing social organizations into greater contact to release the maximum energy of society leading to unprecedented levels of social productivity and development. - The Role of Money & Internet in Social Development
As far back as 1996, a number of us were using the Internet as means of expressing opposition to various policies and practices that ultimately came back to the foreign policy of the United States. Over the years, as the United States has plunged deeper into the nightmare of war and imperialism, we have continued to use the Internet as a means of expressing our opposition and working to mobilize effective activism against these policies.
In the process, a number of us have set up a series of independent websites focused on diverse, but related, topics. The InternetActivist.Org network is meant to consolidate many these various websites as well as maintaining some of the work on sites that we have decided to end. At the start of this project, some ten websites are being merged into the network, with the remnants of two others, as well as two new projects that are currently in the works. Once this original consolidation is complete, the network will be open to others joining. To view the existing network, visit the IA Sites page.
InternetActivist.Org is owned and operated by Internet Activist LLC, a United States based Limited Liability Company. However, in view of the current crusade against independent thought and expression being pursued by the United States government and its henchmen, we felt it prudent to host this project outside of the United States.
