28 January 2007 We have resumed regular updating, however to follow new developments, please visit the Internet Activist.Org blog at http://iablog.blogspot.com/ To follow specific projects, visit: our Sites page.
05/28/06: It has been over a year since we have used this account, but now it looks like the IA project may be slowly coming back to life. We have added a new site to the network - Americans For Chavez - and luckily most of the Jewish Friends of Palestine site was saved from the total corruption of the old eccmei.net account. We should be able to get the JFP site back online relatively quickly.
02/15/05: With the help of a friend, a new website has been uploaded now, however it is in need of a overhaul and update, so we'll hold off on the announcement for right now.
Otherwise, the InternetActivist.Org hub site - where you are right now - has finally been completed. It is small and simple, but that is all it should be. The draw is our project websites, not this one.
02/13/05: The first of the ten initial sites to be transferred to this new host has been moved over - International Islamic Response - which records the initial reaction of the Islamic world to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States. This site was constructed very quickly in the weeks following the attacks in order to document the fact that the vast majority of the Islamic world not only condemned these attacks but even offered their meager resources to help us. Originally this was meant to help counter the wave of Islamaphobia that swept across the United States in the wake of the attacks. However, as time went on and the U.S. chose to use these attacks to justify its imperialist ambitions in the Middle East, now this site helps to document the Islamic good will that Bush and friends has squandered.
02/12/05: After a considerable search, we have finally found a suitable host for this project and thus we begin. We have now opened the new account and should be ready to go.
